My husband is 5’10” and usually wears a 2x t shirt. The 3x was just a little oversized and was very comfortable as a single layer or worn over a t shirt. The sleeves were long enough too.The material is so silky smooth and soft. It was light weight and breathable so he was able to wear it while kayaking to keep the sun off him without bursting into flames. For a normally very sweaty man that is really saying something. For a guy who hates sunscreen this was a perfect option and so worth every penny.I’m shocked a shirt had so many features; but we kept noticing more the longer he wore it. The hood also had a cool snap I’m guessing to keep it from falling down in windy weather. The sleeves also had the classic thumb holes that lined up very well and were comfortable to use. The shoulder even had a sunglasses loop.

So, when I got this, I wasn’t too sure what to expect but this is one heck of a sun shirt. It’s great for fishing cause it has the hoodie, the hoodie also allows you to button it up one so you can kind of tighten it around your head instead of hanging loose in the wind. It also has thumb holes on the sleeves to keep your sleeves from riding up. Velcro fasteners. The material is really nice, super soft yet breathable. I got the extra large and it’s a perfect fit for me, hangs loose around the armpits, looks good, and very comfortable to wear all day long. A must have if you don’t want to burn in the sun, yet still stay cool.

This sun hoodie looks good and has a loose fit. It is soft and comfortable to wear. My husband didn’t report any chaffing. The hood is roomie and good for shading the sun. I like that if we wear this we don’t have to be sticky from sunscreen. The fabric is breathable and seems like good quality. True to size with a loose fit.

Very nice and comfortable fishing shirt for those mild to hot days fishing in the Florida sun. The shirt is a bit large, but that is always better than being too small, in my opinion, but would recommend that you order a size down if you want it snug and don't like it too loose. It's a great looking shirt and the moss color is very nice. I like that is has a snap to close off the breeze or sun from your neck and it also has a hook to hold items that have a hook, carabiner, or for even to hold your sunglasses. I prefer hoodies with pockets, but no pocker is not a deal breaker on this shirt. Average price for this type of hoodie. Nice quick dry material which is light, breathable, and comfortable.

This lightweight hooded Sun shirt has multiple uses. Well it's marketed in the fishing segment I'll be using it for hiking and climbing also. The hood has a snap just below the chin that helps pull the hood around your face and hold on in the wind. I love the thumb loops and the little loop on the shoulder that I slip the tip of my rod through when standing and holding a fish. The materials lightweight and super breathable. It dries quickly after it gets wet. I ordered an extra large you can see the chest width is about 48 in. It drapes nicely and keeps cool without having it laying tightly against your skin. I'm 205 lb and it's the right fit for me.

I got this for my son who is a ginger and burns easily. The UPF 50 is excellent for him.Here is what we love about the shirt. He wears it hiking, biking and walking. It saves him from having to wear sunscreen and even though he is fully covered, the soft material is super breathable.The construction and design are thoughtful with a neck snap, tight stitching, thumb holes as well as sleeve cinches (see pics). This fits my slim son very well.Additionally, it washes well and dries quickly in the sun.Overall, this is really well priced and a fantastic shirt for outdoor activities!

I like this fishing hoodie aka adventure shirt / sun shirt better than most I’ve tried.First off, sizing seems accurate. I usually wear a Medium shirt in US sizing, and sometimes Large. I ordered a Large and you can see in my picture that it does a good job of covering all the way down to my hands without getting too floppy. The thumb hole works well. This is all very good to ensure a bit of hand coverage if you want to keep the sun off your hands during a long day outside.There is a little snap below the chin that does a good job of tightening up the hood, which is great when it’s windy, or when you’re moving around a lot.The material feels great, and the light gray color does an excellent job of keeping me cool.Easy 5 stars.

I love the texture and feel of this hoodie. The seams are sewn well and I don't see any frays. The color is true to what you see on screen and the material is exactly what you'd want to wear if you had to wear a hoodie at the beach to protect you from the sun's deadly rays. One caveat is that it runs very large. I'm 5'10" and about 147-150. I'm almost always a medium, but something told me to go with the small, and I'm glad I did--although you can see from the picture how it fits. You might like it that way, I just wish it wasn't so loose.

It's exactly as advertised: a fishing hoodie with UPF 50+ sun protection. It's very comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. It's very body conforming so maybe not the most suited piece of garment to throw on for say, a large feast, if that makes sense here.Let me dive into its features. Its long sleeve is built with a thumb-hole to provide additional sun protection for the back of one's hand for those long-sessions under the scorching sun. The hoodie itself also has an additional button to cover up user's face up to the nose again, for additional sun & wind protection. Lastly, it also has a single loop on the shoulder seam which serves as a mount/hook for one's sunglasses. It beats a shirt pocket as the user risks it falling out of it eventually with the repeated jerking action that is in rod casting. Okay, I'll work on my phrasing.All in all, it gets a perfect 5/5 star rating from me. This hoodie is styled just as pictured. Size runs as expected too so no surprises there which is another big plus in my opinion. Highly functional activewear without sacrificing on comfort. Highly recommended.

Not overly impressed with the item. This does feel nice on the lake and shields from the sun. The hood is a nice touch. My biggest and only complaint is the size. I sized up and it was still on the tighter end of the chart. I may need to go up 2 sizes. I do like the material. It is very soft and breathable.

This is such a comfortable hoodie. Its soft and strecthy and lightweight. It fit perfectly and it breaths really well. I'm not longer worried about getting sunburned or being too hot while fishing wearing a traditional long sleeve. Easily worth the money and it looks good too honestly. Its a really great hoodie and so affordable!

This was heavier and nicer-looking than I thought it would be. It's an excellent fishing hoodie, but it was nice enough to wear out to dinner.Usually, with cotton hoodies, I order a 2XL because it will shrink. That was not the case with this. If you like or fit into 2XL hoodies, a 1XL might be enough for this one.I found the material comfortable. I liked the additional thumb holes in the sleeves. I like that the hoodie's neck buttons up much higher than a normal hoodie.The sun protection is just because it's clothing I would imagine. It can cover up a lot of your body as needed.The Palmyth logo isn't bad over the breast. I don't think anyone knew what it was. It's stylish enough that even as someone who doesn't like prominent logos, it was ok.Took me a while to figure out that the shoulder loop was for sunglasses.

This is a really solid shirt, especially for long days out in the sun or packing for a weekend trip to the beach. The quality is great and it's very comfortable, but you absolutely need to pay attention to the sizing. It fits exactly like Columbia PFG shirts. I normally wear a medium in standard shirts, but I always have to size down for the PFG line, and I had to do the exact same thing for this one. Once you get the sizing dialed in, it’s perfect for throwing on for an outdoor summer concert or hanging out by the water. Overall, it's a great shirt—just keep that generous sizing in mind before you order!

Being fond of canoeing and fishing local rivers, as I have aged I am more aware of the need for effective sun screen and less able to handle the summertime heat. The Palmyth fishing hoodie addresses both issues quite nicely. The UPF 50+ sun protection rating is great and eliminates the concern of sweating off sunscreen during a long trip and having to re-apply it regularly. By keeping the sun’s direct rays off of my skin I will be better able to endure the heat of summer while on the rivers.I have long arms and a very long torso and am plagued by shirts that are not long enough to be comfortable. I was delighted the first time I tried on this hoodie as the arms have plenty of length and the torso goes well below my waist. I picked an XL and feel the size is true to that or possibly a bit on the big size leaving me plenty of room to paddle aggressively in white water. The workmanship is fine with clean seams that seem durable. The material used is exceedingly light weight and dries very quickly. I’m very happy with the hoodie and expect it to be a standard part of my canoeing attire.

This shirt is entirely too big for me! There is absolutely no way that I can wear this thing out and about. I may possibly be able to use it for lounging around my house. I may use it to have something loose and cozy on while I just kick back and watch TV, but that would be the only way I would be able to get any use out of this shirt. It's a real bummer too because I really love this shirt, the way that it's designed is awesome and the fabric is really comfortable while it's still really durable and tough. This would have been the perfect shirt to go fishing in or to do all sorts of outdoor activities, if it would only fit me. It seems to be a medium white shirt, I wouldn't call it lightweight necessarily, but I definitely wouldn't say that it's heavy either. I love the style, I love everything about it except the fact that it's just way too big for me.My opinion the asking price for this unit is really fair and reasonable! I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends and family!! I would just for sure tell anyone who I recommend this shirt for that they need to be extra, extra, super careful when selecting their size!
