The shirt offers UPF 50+ sun protection, so its ventilating properties don’t come at the cost of sun protection.In my opinion, its appearance is fashionable enough to be worn as casual wear in non-athletic endeavors. Because it would pack small in a suitcase and come out with minimal wrinkles, it would make a great, multi-functional travel piece.The wash instructions on the shirt are symbols, so I looked them all up so you don’t have to: do not bleach, tumble dry low heat, line dry, do not iron, machine wash delicate/gentle. Worth noting: the instructions are printed directly on the inside of the shirt, not on a tag, so for all the men who hate the itchy tag rubbing against them during sporting activities – no worries here. The shirt itself is 90 percent polyester, 10 percent spandex.I can’t recommend this shirt enough.

The cool weather is rolling in here in SW Oregon. I’ve been looking for a quick-dry, long sleeved shirt to give me a little more sun protection and another layer against the chilly days while fishing. I ordered this black Palmyth UPF 50+ fishing shirt based on two other excellent quality Palmyth shirts I had previously ordered. As usual, this shirt has the same excellent build to include comfortable flat stitching in a nice teal thread that complements the black fabric and teal “Palmyth” printed logos. There are two lines of this teal accent stitching down each arm as well as in a simple pattern across the back. I’m 6’1”/185 and I ordered a size large. You can see that it is neither skin tight nor baggy loose…just right! The neck is also to my liking in that it doesn’t sag nor is it tight like a turtleneck. I specifically chose the black to minimize stains from fish blood, slime, bait oils, etc. The “Carolina” and “Grey” color choices look nice, but I would surely end up permanently staining them the first couple of times I fished them. Black is a “better safe than sorry” option. The UPF 50+ fabric means there is no need for sunblock on those covered portions of my skin. The fabric itself is thin and doesn’t provide much insulation against the cold by itself. I would wear this shirt as the first (most comfortable) of several layers on a cold day. As the day warms up, I can peel layers according to how warm it is. Finally, the ~$27 price point is very fair and considerably less than similar higher end big name brands.

My husband really loves this shirt for beachcombing & keeps recommending I pick one out too. He has large biceps but he says this shirt doesn't fit too tightly in the arms and he's comfy moving and flexing in it. Looks great on him too

This brand has been a solid competitor in fishing apparel. The material is high quality and has never disappointed. With Brand Like HUK and Carhartt being top leaders their prices are not. These has the quality and the pricing point. They dry super quick when wet. Keep you cool in the heat. While looking hella good. They fit great and the sizing has always been on point. Not only that they are comfortable to wear for any day of the week. I have multiple styles and love the grey color. Nothing better in my opinion

This shirt is actually comfortable. I wasn't sure what to expect with the material. It doesn't rub under your arms, and the seams are all well made and don't rub. It's lightweight and feels soft. I haven't worn it in hot weather, but it doesn't seem to make me sweaty. It goes great under sweaters, or with a pair of slacks for a work day vibe. It fits true to size.

This is a good high quality shirt. The material is light weight and silky soft type material. It perfect for wearing underneath as a layer, which you need for outdoor sports, fishing, etc. The value is great for the cost. The fit is good and comfortable, I got a large as it was for my dad and it’s true to size. The style is smart/cool. It met my dads and my expectations.

I fully expected to NOT like this sir - primarily because there was absolutely zero information about the fabric on the site.Well, in the short time I've had the shirt - comprised of 90% polyester and the rest Spandex - I've determined I LOVE Ths shirt.The fabric is very this, yet I order it a size too large (XXL vs XL) and have found that it works great as a final layer for cold November days (mid-20 degrees F). I put on a relatively 'tight' sweat shirt/quarter-zip, over my polo, then a slightly larger sweat shrt/qater zip, then this bad-boy 'fishing shirt', and suddently I have an outr layer that keeps the heat inside the earlier layers and it not only looks great, it's quite toasty and surprisingly breathable.Frankly, I think this shirt would work great for basic surf fishing AND ice fishing.Bottom line - I love this surprisingly multi-use shirt and think it's great!
