Good for light weather, not cold or wet weather

So I work outside a lot for work as a vehicle condition assessor. Part of my job I have to basically do a pushup to look underneath vehicles to inspect them, or kneel down with my hands on the ground. I got these gloves because they boast being water resistant and windproof. I'm not sure I'd say they are either, but they do not seem to be made poorly. The weather is about 35 degrees Fahrenheit out and you absolutely feel the wind and cold through these gloves. They have some warming material on the inside but they don't do much to stop the cold. After having them in the cold and putting them in snow they especially don't stop the chill and get damp extremely easily. I half expected this because of the finger openings, but the soaking came from the palms themselves and the top of the gloves.Grips work very well overall and the covers for your fingers do a decent job. Though it would be nice if they added a clasp or magnet in the future so it doesn't stick in the way as much. The grip on the palms does with with touch screen phones and tablets. Though it is not always consistent.Rating high because it holds up well overall. Description says does not work well on cold weather and they were right about that. Great for warmer weather outside maybe, but not what I was hoping.

Comfortable gloves

Product received ahead of scheduled arrival. Glove fits comfortably, but is a quarter inch still too big (Medium size glove). I have small hands, and wish manufacturers would make a size Small too.As other have stated, these gloves are NOT insulated, and will NOT keep your hands warm in the cold weather. The gloves WILL keep your hands free from fish slime/scales. Gripping fish is ok, and the grip surface is not tacky like other name brands. I don't like the tacky surface of other brands, hence this Palmyth brand is perfect.Index and Thumb tips of both hands fold out to expose the finger tips as seen in the product image. This really helps in handling/tying hooks/tackle, holding the line for casting, or using your smartphone touch screen.Overall, excellent product. Just wish there was a Small size glove.Update May 4, 2019Ordered a new pair to replace my old pair, and added an image of the before and after for comparison. In the image, the glove on the right is my original pair, after EXTENSIVE and HEAVY usage. On the left is my new pair (left hand). As you can see, the gloves lived up to its life as much as it could. It lasted about 2-3 months of HEAVY use until the outer layer on the thumb and index finger wore off. EXCELLENT gloves and very durable, which is why I re-ordered a new pair. I'd like to try out the Palmyth Cold Weather gloves when and if they ever market a size SMALL.PALMYTH, please consider manufacturing a size SMALL gloves for us folks with smaller than medium hands. =)

Good for grabbing fish

Works good when grabbing fish. Doesn’t really keep hands warm

Not warm. Useful for taking pics in cooler weather

These are useful, but it’s important to note that they are definitely not warm. Anything below 35 degrees and they are not going to help you stay warm while needed to have your fingers available.

Good Photography Gloves

These gloves look great and are perfect for outdoor photography with so many available fingers. The only downside is the lack of a wider cuff to protect from the cold. The Velcro closure makes removal easier. I recommend.

I bought these for walking the dog

I needed something to keep my hand warm while still being able to give treats to our dog while walking since she's still in training. While the peeled back fingers are a little bulky, I'm able to get small treats from the pouch and put my hand in my deep raincoat pocket while wearing them. The thinner fabric over the palm lets me have the flexibility I need. While it's taking a little practice, I think we have a winner here.

Great find!

For work I am often out in the elements during winter, but I have to have my hands free to use my phone for documentation and these gloves really help. Who knew they made gloves that could expose a single finger to work your phone?! They're thick without being bulky, and keep my hands warm and dry and sizing was spot on. For reference I wear a women's size large in a Wells Lamont work glove. I was so happy I bought all of my coworkers a pair!

Great design. Bought them to do programming in a cold warehouse.

Love love love. Just got them so I cannot speak to wear and tear. I put them on here at home for fun and got on my laptop. No problem. The 3 finger tip covers are real easy to pull off and put back on. Also - not something I noticed in the product description - the finger tip covers have a circle of velcro loops on them and can be pinned back onto a little circle of velcro hooks to get them completely out of the way. Very cool. Finally, I bought the large n they are a little tight for me, BUT I have large hands and like my gloves a bit loose. A year or so ago I bought a pair of Paula Rowan gloves in Dublin and Paula thought they were too big for me, but I liked the fit.

My Photographer and Director of Media Relations Son Loves These

I bought these gloves @Christmas for my son who is the director of media relations for a college athletics program in a part of the country that gets frigid temps during a longer winter season. He often times is out taking pictures as part of his game day responsibilities for sports he is not the primary contact and he has either gone without wearing anything and his hands have frozen or he tries to wear some gloves but can't take pictures as well. He is also in the press-box during many events; often times the press boxes aren't heated/well insulated or windows/doors are open so it stays colder in there.I found these while researching gloves for photographers. He has loved having these gloves and he leaves them at his desk at work so they're always accessible to him when he needs them. He says the gloves are comfortable and while not the warmest gloves he's ever worn they definitely are better than most he's tried and they provide a great protection with a combination of warmth and functionality either taking pictures, doing live-stats, posting to social media or writing stories on this computer. His co-worker and friend who is the director of creative media, is always taking pictures and video at every sporting event, really likes my son's gloves and wants to order some. The material is quality and the gloves appear to have been made well. There are no compromised seams, spots, blemishes, holes, tears, or scuffs and so far they have held up well to my son's work demands. The velcro is secure, folding back the fingers/thumb tips is easy/quick and the tips are held strongly/stay out of the way, no fumbling. The cost is well worth it for the quality of the item and for what they have provided for my son.Highly recommend giving these a try!

Perfect cold weather fishing gloves

I bought these gloves for fishing and I’m very impressed with them. They are very warm and waterproof, and they fit well on my hands. The flip back finger caps are very handy and easy to use. I can check my phone or take pictures without exposing my fingers to the cold. The gloves also have a good grip and feel on my fishing rod and other equipment. The wrist straps and elastic cuffs keep the gloves in place and prevent any cold air from getting in. The gloves are also durable and easy to clean. I like the color and style of the gloves too. They are great gloves for anyone who loves fishing in cold weather. I highly recommend them!

Excellent value for the price

I bought these on a whim as they were on "special" (just a few dollars off), and I have been very pleasantly surprised at the quality. I would not consider these extreme cold weather long term exposure gloves, but they will likely cover 95% my own personal glove needs. Northwest Ohio here. My hand measured right in the middle of the XL size, and I must say they fit really well, you might even say they fit...…well, like a glove. The neoprene palm has much grip, so I find them useful for driving and doing things like separating the crap bags for my greatest friend on our morning walks, without needing to remove my gloves (Just to clarify, I am referring to a dog here). They quality of manufacture is better than expected for the price point, and they are just really comfortable feeling. I do photography as a hobby, but have not had chance yet to use the flip down fingers, but i imagine that would come in quite handy if you are one of those glutton-for-punishment types that commonly find themselves in the snow for hours on end waiting for the SHOT. Highly recommended .

Good value, get the button-back fingers if you can

These gloves are pretty good for the money. I've used them regularly for about 6 months now, and they do what they're supposed to. They do a decent job of keeping your hands warm, within reason. They aren't waterproof, which I wouldn't expect from 15$ fishing gloves, but they do have some water resistance. The finger flaps are a bit useless; they don't button back and so the finger bits get in the way while tying knots-- I tend to just take them off when I need to do intricate work. My friend has the slightly more expensive button-back fingers on his, and he's been happy. I think if you can swing it those ones are better, but these gloves are a great option if you're just looking for some cheap, basic fishing gloves.

These gloves are not perfect, but...

They are quite close to exactly what I wanted. They fit snugly, without any irritating seams or tags. The closure is low profile with no loose flaps, so it does not interfere with the cuff of a sleeve. The glove is fairly water resistant for a light rain or snow, but is not insulated nor sealed. The glove material is not as flexible as I'd hoped, but it's just soft enough with just enough elasticity to feel only a step below second-skin comfort. If you've used thin liner gloves, for comparison on their insulating qualities, I find that these are about 10-12 degrees warmer than a basic liner/baselayer glove. Now, for the finger/thumb tips. The reason these appeal to me. Opening the fingertip is easy with a pinch and pull, or, if your other hand is occupied, a gentle bite to flip the tip behind your finger. Re-covering is not so smooth, with some fiddling required to get the material edges to sit right again, but that's just an extra 3-4 seconds of fussing. This is much more reliable than any "touchscreen" glove, allows quick access for fingerprint, and I used the gloves while doing target shooting with my SR40 today so I can confirm that it exposes just enough finger for trigger access without catching on the guard or being annoying in any fashion. For the price, these are wonderful gloves. Time will tell how the construction holds up, but I'm hopeful and don't see any concerning seams or weak points yet.
