Review for: Palmyth Women's Long Sleeve Fishing Shirt, UPF 50+(Marine Blue)I waited until I was actually out on the water before writing this, because I wanted to give it a fair trial. Glad I did!This is a genuinely well-made shirt that does its job. The sun protection is real, it dries quickly, and even with the UV properties it feels surprisingly lightweight and comfortable against the skin. The zippered pockets are roomy — you can get your whole hand in each one, so no worrying about keys or anything else slipping out into the deep. The zippers themselves are smooth and easy to operate, and I love the snaps — so much easier than fumbling with tight buttons and struggling to get them open or closed. Did I mention it comes in a really nice color?A couple of things to know going in: the fit runs trim with very little stretch, so if you prefer a roomier feel, I'd recommend sizing up. I ordered my usual XL and would call it fitted. It also runs a little warm — that's the UV protection doing its thing, so not really a flaw, but I noticed it in 73 degree humid weather. Once you're actually on the water with a breeze it's much less of an issue and I was quite comfortable.A very well-made, actually functional fishing shirt that looks good to boot. Recommended!

We are heading on a river rafting trip this summer and I needed to a lightweight, long sleeve shirt to protect me from the sun but keep me cool. I'm thrilled with this Plamyth sun shirt. It has UPF 50+ which was a key requirement. The material is super lightweight, soft and breathable.The shirt has 2 zippered front pockets - which is great for wearing this in any outdoor activity when you want to carry something small and not have it fall out. Like carrying your keys and ID when you are out hiking. The front and sleeves have easy to snap buttons - I like this better than threading a traditional button through a buttonhole. With this type of shirt, I'm typically wearing a tank top underneath and these snap buttons allow me to easily open and close the shirt depending on the weather and wind.The sleeves can be rolled up, and you can snap them into place with the cloth tab. There is a mesh opening under the back upper panel which allows air to flow through and keeps you cool.I wear a small and this small fits perfect.

This seems like a well-made shirt, but the fit is much slimmer than expected. I’m typically a 14P and ordered a Large based on the size chart, which matched my measurements. Unfortunately, the shirt wouldn’t even come close to meeting in the front—there was no way to button it. I would estimate it runs about 1–2 sizes small, especially through the chest.That’s a shame, because the fabric itself is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable. It feels like it would be a great option for hot weather, camping, or other outdoor activities if the sizing were more accurate. If you’re considering this, I would strongly recommend sizing up, possibly more than one size if you need room through the bust or prefer a relaxed fit.

Really love a lot about this long sleeve fishing shirt. The quality of fabric and construction seems really well done. I love all of the extra features, such as the zippered pockets and the mesh lining. The snap buttons make it easy to put on and take off, and I like that.It looks like regular buttons and not snaps. Unfortunately, the proportions our way off. So the fit is off. I ordered my regular size, and while I could possibly snap the front, there'd be huge gaps and it'd be terribly uncomfortable. Do plan to order up if you try this. Otherwise, this is a really nice outdoor shirt that dries reasonably fast once wet.

I can never have enough UPF50 shirts. I absolutely love the way the back is ventilated--much more comfortable than some of my other similar shirts. The fabric has a nice feel and will dry quickly. I was surprised by how small this ran. I'm usually between L and XL, and this L is nowhere near being able to button. The model photos made me think it would be a little roomy, otherwise I would've gone with XL. But based on how this fits, I think the XL would have been tight too.

This is a lovely lightweight sun shirt. It has plastic snaps on front and sleeves (a little unsure how long these will last), two zip pockets on each side of the front, and a snap and flap for rolling up the sleeves and fastening them in place. The fit on me is perfect. I ordered a size medium and I am 5'7", 140 lbs, 36C chest. The front tab on the left chest is Velcro and opens for attaching sunglasses or small fishing accessories. The back is vented and the upper portion inside the shirt is a open weave mesh to allow air flow. See pictures for details. I washed this shirt in cold water and hung it to dry as I was not sure how the plastic snaps would endure the heat of the dryer. The shirt dried very quickly and came through the wash perfectly. I really like this shirt, but I do wonder how long the plastic snaps will last. This is why I did not give it 5 stars. The shirt is very comfortable to wear and feels soft like silk, but much cooler. I am grateful to Palmyth for the opportunity to evaluate this lovely shirt through the Amazon Vine program. I am sure I will enjoy it in the coming hot days!

I ordered this shirt in black because I had been wanting a shirt like this for a while. These do great in sunny weather and autel for everything from fishing to hiking to casual days at work. The zipper pockets are an awesome feature, as well as the strong snap buttons. Ialso like that the snaps are playoff so they won't rust if you wear this shirt a lot for water sports or fishing. I checked the size chart and ordered a large to have some room even though I'm normally between a large and a medium. However this shirt fit large on top but skin tight around my waist. For reference, my measurements are 38-30-40 and I'm a 36DD on top, with very muscular arms. I really wanted this shirt to work the features are so cool with the mesh back, ultra thin fabric, the roll up sleeves -- everything is there -- but the sizing is off. I believe they were trying to make the shirt as feminine as possible with the tiny waist but the proportions are off. The top and sleeves are really big while the waist is impossibly tiny.

This has a shorter hem and slimmer fit that looks good un-tucked and buttoned up. The material is soft and silky feeling without being shiny. However, the medium blue color combined with the brand name on the upper chest Velcro bit gives mechanic jumpsuit/work shirt vibes that I'm not looking for. Also, there were several loose threads that makes me question the durability.

Overall, if this top is actually UPF 50+, the value is great for a sun shirt; one like this would probably sell for twice the price at a tourist-trap surf shop!What I liked - Whether it's actually UPF 50 or not, it still provides the skin some protection from the sun without weighing you down. The fit/cut of the shirt is sporty, which I like for the more active beach days, but fairly small (for reference: I'm a size 14-16, 5'8", got an XL and wished it was roomier), so size up if you want a loungy beach shirt!What I'm unsure about - I can't tell if the UPF 50+ rating is true or not, as I did test it for a bit (I'm pretty fair, I do burn fairly easily, but it depends on the intensity of the sun). I didn't get burned while wearing this, but that could've been because I had a layer of fabric protecting my skin. Other sun shirts I've purchased have the sun rating printed on the label or tag somewhere, and that feature is missing on this shirt.

What a surprise when I got an opportunity to review this fishing shirt it has a UPF of above 50 I was able to get it in white and let me tell you what it really makes a difference you get complete coverage from neck to fingertips it's comfortable it's almost like it's a breathable fabric it makes a very crisp lovely appearance I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry but I'm very light skinned and it certainly made a difference in my day and my ability to have exposure to the sun I just love it and I would recommend that if you're looking for a well made quality fishing shirt this will work perfectly for you it's double seemed and all the places that it should be and you'll get a lot of long-term durability you will just love it

The fit is more form fitted so I’m not swimming in a fishing shirt. It’s flattering for a fishing shirt with this cut. Very good quality, wrinkle resistant, and comfy. I like that it has the rod holder on the shirt as well as the straps for sleeve roll up. I deducted a star as I felt it was a little pricey even with the 10 percent off, but at least I look good in it! True to size.
