We are avid kayakers, and I am very fair skinned. I already have a UPF 50 hoodie and swimming leggings to keep arms and legs covered, but I also wanted something to protect my hands, not only from the sun, but also from blisters and calluses. These kayak gloves really do the trick! I was a bit concerned because as a woman, I feel like I have “man hands” and my measurement per the instructions was right at 8 inches. However, as recommended Size L fits perfectly. The gloves are very soft and comfortable, and have a gripping pad on the palm that helps keep the paddle from slipping. I no longer have any discomfort when paddling or red spots/blisters afterwards. I show a picture of my fisted hand because unfisted it may look like the fabric is loose but when gripping the kayak paddle the glove is tight, but not too tight. I also wanted the fingerless gloves and having them in purple just makes everything perfect.

Feel good and fit nicely. Have quality stitching and are made of comfortable fabrics. Palms have plastic grips to help hold a fishing pole securely. Fits an average size female hand as well as medium sized male hand. Seem very durable and provide excellent sun protection. They are a good value for the money.

These are nice looking gloves. Nice color pattern on the back side and good coverage for UPF protection. They look like they're using good materials, and stitching seems good. The entire palm side of the glove is made of the non-breathable faux-leather material. There's good coverage on the fingers and the thumb, which should work well for reducing the impact of "bass thumb" when lipping fish. The material also has silicone traction applied across the palm and finger portions of that panel to improve grip. While offering good protection, this material is not breathable and you should be prepared for poorer breathability and drainage of the glove on that side. This may be perfectly ok in cooler weather, but on a really hot day - your palms will get quite sweaty (and wet) and won't have much of an opportunity to air dry in these gloves. Also, because of the thickness of the material, it has a tendency to bunch up in the palm when forming a fist or holding something. This may be fine for you, but be prepared. Overall - a good set of gloves at a good price.

The quality of these seems quite solid. The suedelike fabric on the palms is well suited for tasks like kayaking, paddling, or carrying scuba tanks. I like that the fingers go past the knuckles.The fabric is thick, which is good for quality but I'm a bit concerned about using them in the heat. They also did not dry super fast after I wet them, and I think they would take maybe even longer to dry on my hands during use (they are likely to get wet using them around diving stuff).In terms of sun protection, I also wish that they extended a bit further down below the wrists for better coverage.That said, the look is true to the pictures on the product page, the color is bright, the fabric and construction feel solid.

This past summer my husband and I picked up a kayaking hobby and I am the type of person that gets a sunburn just thinking about the sun and I'm prone to blisters, so I had to have these gloves given their advertised 50 UPF sun protection. These also looked like they could work for our other hobbies of gardening and working out, and possibly as riding gloves, until kayaking season rolls around again.I like the placement of a synthetic leather strip in between the thumb and index finger, the leather that wraps the pinky side of the hand. I like the entire palm side of the hands and fingers is covered with a pliable synthetic leather, and that there is additional silicone-like grip added to the leather along the palm and fingers. These are very "grippy" gloves. I like that the top side of the glove is mostly constructed of a very elastic, swimsuit-like, quick-dry material fabric to allow free movement of the hand, and there is extra space for the wrist to move and fingers to bend. Note that these are pull-on type gloves, and you cannot tighten or close the wrists, so these gloves won't look super sleek on your hands. I like that the fabric part of the fingers are finished with a hem rather than being raw cut fabric, which should help reduce fraying with time. The art design of the glove is printed only on the elastic fabric. The sewing was pretty consistent and nice throughout, without stray threads, any missed areas, or random holes like you sometimes get with inexpensive gloves. There is no padding in these gloves, so if you need padding, these are not the gloves for you.The XXL gloves I ordered are way too large for me and slightly too large for my husband, though this is my fault due my wariness of gloves, especially finger holes, being too tight and my guessing a size I thought both my husband and I could try, without measuring our hands. I have added photos with glove measurements and a size comparison to a U.S. quarter so you can make a better decision than I did. Regardless, these will still work for our outdoor activities and to protect my hands from the sun. I tried the right glove on the left hand to see if they could indeed be ambidextrous per the product description, if I wanted the leather on top and the fabric along my palm instead, and they indeed comfortably fit both ways, though that could also be enabled by mine being sized up by a few sizes.For folks that are especially sensory sensitive, I have provided photos of the gloves turned inside out so you can see the seams and judge your comfort level. For me, the fabric and leather are currently pliable enough that the seams don't bother me at all, but once the leather gets wet it might stiffen, so you'll have to judge. The most pronounced inner seam is along the pinky side of the hand. The inner palm side of the glove (from wrist all the way to the finger) is synthetic leather like the outside. The rest is the stretchy swimsuit like material.These are pretty decent quality gloves overall and will work for my purposes.

Nice gloves, but I like a snug fit. I went by the size chart and expected a sliver of room, but these are like a whole size bigger.

These are really nice gloves. They are comfy and not too warm. I was hoping that a small would be small enough that our daughter could wear them to ride her bike (she insists on wearing gloves even for casual riding) but alas they run a little big so my wife tried them for weightlifting. She said they worked pretty good for that but said they were still a bit big on her hands. They are lightweight with a nice gripping surface.

I have a set of gloves like this with a monkey on the palm, and judging by the photos, I thought they looked like the same product. I bought an XL pair for my husband to use when we kayak fish. I like the grippy silicone dots on the leather palms, but the leather isn't as thick as my "monkey" gloves--and these cost more.Saltwater isn't kind to these gloves, but they are good for kayaking and fishing. My monkey gloves have been durable, and perhaps these will also last after all. But you can get a better value for your money.
