I needed a nice sun hat for the 2 - 3 hours I spend outside each afternoon. I really like the grey color and this hat keeps the sun and rain off of my face. On windy days, the chin strap keeps it from blowing away. The brim is wide enough to cover my neck as well. I also like that there are air vents on the side. With the vents and the shade this hat provides, I actually feel cooler when out walking on hot days. The material is lightweight and dries quickly. There is also a detachable neck flap which gives extra protection from the sun. Overall, it's a great and at this price point it's a good value.

This is a nice hat. Light weight hat keeps sun off head. It fits well stayed in place. Nice little surprise was ability to snap side brim up, liked that alot. The neck flap is good, but also easy to remove when not needed. Wish it had a pocket to store the flap. All in all it protects, it is comfortable does what it sets out to do.

Due to too much sun expsoure in the past and the removal of precancerious growths on myscalp, I am sensitive to having a good head covering when in the sun. This is a great lightweight hat and it also sports a removable neck cover which is good for some extra protection. I think it will work great for fishing and beach activities as well as a hiking hat. I have run into problems with mesh openings on hats in the past - I've literally gotten sunburn through them. The open hole were fairly large. This one has a mesh opening but the holes are very fine. Will watch to see how well it screens.

Originally ordered this fishing hat for myself as it's labeled for men, but it doesn't fit. However my partner has a really small feminine head and it fits her perfectly. The hat is versatile and quality made. Neat embroidered fish Palmyth logo embroidered on the front. It has great venting on the back of the hat. She likes the adjustable chin strap which can be removed by simply unhooking the snaps. The detachable neck flap feature is a great optional add-on to prevent sunburns, especially on the water. It's attached with 3 button snaps & it covers not only her neck but a bit down the back where the typical sunburn tends to happen when wearing a tank top. Unsure if it's that long on men, but for her petite figure it's great. She also likes the charcoal color & that the hat has a UPF 50+ rating too.

This hat was pretty neat, it's very light, and very breathable. The ability to put the back flap on and off is really nice, when you do and don't want it. I do wish there was some sort of pocket or something on the hat itself that you could put it into. So when you take it off you didn't have to figure out what to do with it. The quality and durability of it is nice, the stitching has lasted so far this summer. And does a decent job of absorbing the sweat. It's a little small from my head, but I have a pretty large head, most of the hats that I have to wear are extra large and bigger. Loosely, but that's perfect for her cuz she doesn't like things squeezing her head.

I don’t fish, but why should they get all the sun protection? You. A use this before any outdoor activity. I used this for yard work and it was perfect. It fit well and has a chin strap for the wind. It didn’t make me overheat so I guess it cools well enough. It’s partially mesh and the neck flap is pretty thin so all together it’s not a heavy hat. I didn’t get the standard back of the neck and ears sunburn like I usually do when working in the yard for hours. This hat is a keeper.
