Scratchy Hems

The inside hem on the bottom of the legs is very scratchy and picky. Otherwise, these shorts are nice, the manufacturer just needs to do something about the PICKY AND SCRATCHY HEMS!!! PLEASE!!

I have tied them all and these are the best.I am a charter boat captain and I fish in shorts every day I am on my boat.These are super comfortable and have the pliers pocket on the right so I can use them with my dominant hand.They have held up over hundreds of days on the water.

The leg length could be a bit shorter to wear with wader stretch pants but the fit is good and material is great. I may hem up the shorts to above the knee for better movement when wet wading the flats.

What happened to the Vents?

Ok, first things first, I had previously ordered these fishing shorts in 2021 & 2022. I found them to be perfect for offshore fishing or lounging by the pool. They had vents in all the right places, reinforced pockets for pocket knives, pliers etc. so that you didn't rip through them. Fast forward to 2025, I saw 2 new colors, I knew how they fit and performed and decided to stock up. Nope, not the same quality...Look the same, pretty much feel the same, but no vents, less durability and for some odd reason, they take a bit longer to dry out. Not that they are poor quality, just not the same as in 2021. And to be honest, If I didn't own 3 pair of the 'previous model', I probably would have given it a higher score. But just like everything nowadays, you can't count on 'newer' products from the same manufacturer meeting or exceeding their earlier variants.

Yeah, I like these shorts. They are lightweight and breath. They dry out quickly. I like the tool pockets and use them for a bait knife and pliers. I've ordered more.

Buen short para la pesca, lo uso encima de unas mallas delgadas cuando pesco desde la playa porque aqui hace frio y no me gusta usar el traje clasico de plastico. El short se seca pronto, solo uso la bolsa izquierda donde hecho los plasticos usados en el momento, recomendado si te gusta pescar ligero.

Affordable fishing shorts

Just got the shorts, tried them on, they fit nicely, I like the elastic waistband, zippered back pockets and the many pockets. As many have mentioned previously, I don't like the fact that you can put a phone in the side cargo pocket fully, it isn't deep enough. I would give the shorts 5 stars if they would fix this. I do like how lightweight they are, will come in handy this summer. The price point was good too, on sale on prime day. More affordable than Huk shorts.

Great Value And Alternative To Big Name Brands

I ended up ordering these fishing shorts for a weekend fishing trip I had coming up in the Carolinas. I am on a cusp size so I decided to order a xxl and glad I did. The fit is perfect for a 38-40 waist. the material is comfortable to the touch and dries quickly if you decide to accidentally get in the water. The overall length is just below the knee which is the style I prefer. These shorts have deep upper pockets unlike many other brands that fit my XL phone and will not let it drop out when I went to sit down on rough water. The zippered back pocket fit my minimalist wallet in a dry bag perfect. I was a little curious about the reinforced cargo pocket but it did a great job protecting my outer leg from fishing hooks I shoved in there. It also fit my multi tool and razor knife snuggly even when I my brother in law decided I needed to take a swim.Overall I am very impressed with these fishing shorts and have since turned them into my multi use shorts for typical household chores. Will be grabbing a couple more pairs for our next planned big fishing trip in August.
